ABOUT ME

Mindful Therapist

I am a licensed professional counselor in Georgia, and a certified clinical hypnotherapist. I offer online counseling services to individuals seeking support for a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. My approach is client-centered and evidence-based, utilizing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based interventions to help clients achieve their goals. My focus is on anxiety, identity, relationship challenges, and self-acceptance, with an emphasis on mindfulness and self-compassion. The practice is inclusive and active in advocating for women, minorities, and LGBTQ clients, as well as those in nontraditional relationships. My passion is assisting people in becoming their own best friend and advocate.

My focus in therapy is on meaning, personal choice, and motivation. Good therapy is about connection and trust. Many people come to therapy because they have either forgotten how to connect with their inner selves or they have never learned how to do so. Through therapy, I aim to help individuals reconnect with themselves and develop the tools they need to live a fulfilling life. Therapy is a process of experiencing a safe relationship while rediscovering the part of themselves that is healthy and knows how to be happy and whole. I am trained and licensed in massage therapy, and I also have a keen interest in wellness and the mind-body connection. My background is helpful for teaching clients to recognize cues for stress, pain, and sadness and how to work with breath, relaxation, and movement to accept the realities that are a part of being a  thinking, feeling being in a physical body.

I am trained in mindfulness meditation, EMDR, DBT, and other evidence-based techniques to help clients process and heal from trauma, anxiety, and depression. My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions and empower them with the tools they need to live a more fulfilling life. Hypnotherapy may be used in conjunction with cognitive-behavioral techniques to rapidly resolve symptoms of anxiety, pain, or trauma.
